We come from a long line of needlewomen and men. Originating in the West Riding of Yorkshire in England, it was a source of family pride to master any and every needlecraft, no matter how obscure. But the first love was always crochet, closely followed by embroidery. The skills were passed on from mother to daughter, with plenty of help from the grandmothers and great-aunts !
